Overview

AGwaK2: Darkside Adventures is a sequel (or is it a prequel?) to A Game with a Kitty. Though this one has no kittens, both games share many gameplay elements.

Chapter 1

Orknok Cliffs

This is the starting location. The Imp King can help you as a improvised spring in the first area.

Diamond locations:

  1. Obtain the bomb form the cliffs leading up. Detonate the bomb block in the bottom-right corner, and carry the checkerboard block upward. This reveals a chest, which releases a bomb that can be used to blast open the blocks guarding the large diamond.

Cheesemoon Terrace

Diamond locations:

Orknok Top

Diamond locations:

Mountain Bridge

After clearing this level, return to Orknok Cliffs and take the alternate route to reach Beneath Orknok.

This is a secret level. The entrance is in Castle Tower. Get the lamp here.

Boss strategy:

Diamond locations:

  1. No diamonds to find.

Chapter 4

You need at least 800 diamonds to proceed. Just collecting small diamonds until reaching that number would be ridiculous, so collect the various large diamonds scattered through the levels. You may need at least 16.

Aurora Road

Diamond locations:

  1. In the second area of the level, you'll soon come across a orange block with a bomb inside it. Pick the bomb, throw it on the top of the moving wall, climb the wall, pick the bomb and return to the first area through the tube. The bomb takes more time to explode than the others, but don't think there's much room for mistakes.

Aurora's End

Diamond locations:

Aurora Secret

This is a secret level. The entrance is in Aurora's End, below the normal exit.

Diamond locations:

  1. No diamonds to find even though the hud, during the level, says there are three. Must be a glitch.

Boss strategy:

  • The block guy is vulnerable to bombs. Every time he gets hit, he inflates. Your stars will make him recoil, making him unable to do any action to escape the explosions. New bombs might show up when the boss hits the floor or walls after running or jumping.

Dimension Twist

Get the book in Hidden Holy Hills to properly clear this level. Read the sign at the end to get hints about the location of the secret levels.

Diamond locations:

  1. No diamonds to find.

Boss strategy:

Faraway Star

To prevent sequence breaking, special moves learned in this area will not work in other levels.

Diamond locations:

  1. No diamonds to find.

Final boss strategy:

  • A giant clone of Captain Horatio. Try to stay close to him so you can throw a star when he either opens his mouth, his chest or the eye atop his head. It'll be easier to hit the eye if you got the quadruple jump powerup at Distortion X. You can also hit the oven at the left side of the arena to turn it on and then throw a teddy bear at it. The fiery teddy then can be used as a more damaging projectile against the boss.

Distortion X

Looks like people have been messing with the X button again.

This is a secret level. The entrance is in Faraway Star, near the final boss room. You need to have cleared at least 85% of the game to enter it. Get the treasure at the end of this level to unlock the best ending.

Diamond locations:

  1. No diamonds to find.

First boss strategy:

  • A giant red ball with a single eye and various familiar things trapped inside it. Its weak point is the plant sticking outside it, but only when it is open. The boss will become faster as it takes damage, so to avoid being crushed go to a hole and duck. The shield over the holes will also block bullets from the plant.

Second boss strategy:

  • It's-a-him... Hit his head with stars and he'll inflate. After some hits his body will explode and then regrow when hit again. Keep hitting his head until he's completely dead. Watch out for when he jumps. He'll jump frequently when he's small, so pay attention to your star stock and be very careful while refilling it.
